InQpharm strengthens its scientific evidence for Litramine™

A clinical study undertaken recently by a clinical research centre in Europe on the fat-binding effects of Litramine™ has reported an effective fat-binding capacity of up to 26.6%. Litramine™ is the clinically proven and patented fat binder in InQpharm’s weight management product Liposinol™, which is sold in more than 40 countries around the world.

The key findings from the study commissioned by InQpharm on 50 overweight or obese male and female participants, randomly assigned to consume Litramine™ or placebo, revealed that patients who took Litramine™ showed a statistically significant increase in faecal fat excretion in comparison with the placebo after consuming Litramine™ for three days. The general safety evaluation by patients and physicians rated the product ‘very good’ and, based on a questionnaire, a moderate to strong satiety effect was also reported.

Litramine™, one of InQpharm’s techno markers, is a natural, patented fibre complex derived from 100% organic dehydrated leaves of a nutritious cactus and is rich in fibre. It is known for its ability to bind dietary fats without any pharmacological action or effects on the human body and it has no known harmful side effects.

Vivian Cheh, Marketing Director, comments: “We are committed to developing and supporting our products and this study further strengthens our scientific evidence for our fat binder Litramine™, which has been extremely successful in Europe and is now market leader in both Switzerland and Italy, represented under our business partners’ brand names!

“All our products contain techno markers which symbolise InQpharm’s strength in innovation. Litramine™ is the techno marker for our fat binder Liposinol™ and stands for safety and efficacy assurance for our proprietary ingredients, which means our quality is guaranteed.”
