In-licensing agreement between InQpharm and Neem Biotech

On 8 November 2011 an agreement was signed between InQpharm and Neem Biotech Ltd for the in-licensing of rights to Neem’s know-how and patents in manufacturing Allicin and Ajoene for exclusive use in the fields of Human Health and Animal Health on a global basis.

Neem is a company based in the UK, which specialises in extracting compounds from plants and marine life and has a long history of research into and production of garlic extracts for many market sectors.

Having secured the exclusive rights, InQpharm will commence further work on compound development, pre-clinical and clinical efficacy studies to unlock fully the potential of standardised and stabilised extracts derived from garlic (Allium sativum). The extracts will be utilised in products to be developed for incorporation in functional food, health supplements and herbal drugs for the indications of immune, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory tract health and other therapeutic areas in humans and animals.
